Celebrating 40 years of Sydney Vintage Car Restorations.

Rouse Hill 1982 - 1996

In 1982 Sydney Vintage Car Restorations (SVCR) again relocated. This time to nearby Rouse Hill. The workshop was setup in a disused mushroom shed. The mushroom sheds were in the Dynamic Lifter complex on the corner of Withers and Commercial Road. Gill restored 7 Jaguar E types for the Jennings family who then owned the Dynamic lifter fertiliser business. The mushroom sheds were later demolished to make way for a new fabricated shed.

Gill took on numerous apprentices during this time and the business grew to include the design and building of rapid response fire engines, modified Range Rovers, aircraft panels and train panels for the NSW state rail.

After the passing of Gills father Hubert in 1983, Gills mother Grace joined Gill and Sara to help with the day to day running of business. By the early 90’s Gill’s apprentices had gained their trade certificates and had left SVCR. In 1994 Grace passed away leaving only Gill and Sara to run SVCR.

In 1995 the Jennings family sold the Dynamic lifter company and property to Yates. The workshop lease was cancelled.
